Chinese stocks climb; dollar steady before US inflation test – Oct 10

Asian stocks lift on Thursday from Chinese stocks as PBOC kicked off 500 billion yuan facility to spur capital markets,
China CSI300 rose 1.7% in early trading,
Hang Seng rose 2.5%, is up 24% this year.
MSCI’s broadest of APAC ex Japan 0.76% higher in early Asian hours. Nikkei rose 0.5%.

Forex

As markets watch US CPI release on Thursday
DXY steady after highest since Aug. 16 overnight.
JPY last 149.13, EUD was at $1.09445

Commodities

Oil higher with tensions in Mid East, and demand spike with major storm into Florida.

Brent rose 0.4% to $76.86, WTI up 0.37% at $73.5
