Touted as Southeast Asia’s first dual-currency cross-border contactless smart card, the EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring card is a 2-in-1 motoring card that can be used to pay motoring and travelling fees in both Singapore dollars (SGD) and Malaysia Ringgit (MYR). It was launched EZ-Link and Touch ‘n Go in August 2020.
Catered for Singapore registered vehicles travelling between Singapore and Malaysia, here’s everything you need to know about how the card works, how you can use it, how to obtain it, and how to top it up.

How The EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring Card Works
The EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring Cards works by hosting two electronic purses: the EZ-Link purse for use in Singapore and the Touch ‘n Go purse for Malaysian use. Each purse will be in their respective countries’ currency, and funds cannot be converted and transferred between each purse.
Each purse’s uses, lifespans and value limits are also different.
EZ-Link (Singapore)
Used For: ERP Payments, Checkpoint toll charges, Carpark fees at selected carparks
Lifespan: 5 Years
Dormant Period: None
Stored Value Limit: $500
Touch ‘n Go (Malaysia)
Used For: Highway tolls, Checkpoint toll charges, Parking fees, Bus and MRT fares, Payments at Touch ‘n Go retail outlets
Lifespan: 10 years
Dormant Period: 12 months of consecutive non-use
Stored Value Limit: MYR 1,500
Both the purses and the card are valid for a minimum of 5 years from the date of purchase.
Unlike the EZ-link purse, the Touch ‘n Go purse will go dormant should there be no transactions within 12 consecutive months. To avoid such a scenario, you could top up your Touch ‘n Go eWallet within the grace period. Otherwise, you could contact Touch ‘n Go customer service to perform a deferred refund.
The EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring can also be linked to both the EZ-Link-App and Touch ‘n Go eWallet respectively. You will be able to use all the functions of the EZ-Link app to manage your EZ-Link purse of the card, and use your Touch ‘n Go purse for PayDirect.
Sadly, the EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring Card cannot be used for public transport fares in Singapore. Payments for ERP and checkpoint tolls are also only applicable to Singaporean vehicles.
Foreign vehicles entering Singapore also will still be required to use an Autopass card to pay for entry and exit fees travelling across Singapore’s borders, and you cannot use the card for any Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) and ERP fees for foreign vehicles entering Singapore
Pricing And Top-Ups
The EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring cards could be purchased at selected 7-Eleven stores in Singapore and will be available on EZ-Link’s official Shopee store. You could also purchase the EZ-Link x Touch ‘n Go Motoring cards at selected Cheers outlets around checkpoints and Caltex, Sinopec, and SPC petrol stations. The price of the card varies across the sales channels. The ones at 7-Eleven and Cheers are sold for $10 apiece, which includes a $3 load value in the EZ-Link purse.
To top up the EZ-Link Purse of your card, you can go to 7-Eleven outlets, DBS/POSB ATMs, OCBC ATMs, AXS Stations that accept EZ-Link card payments. Do take note that at certain top-up channels, there will be top-up fees.
To top up the Touch ‘n Go purse of your card, you can refer to the Touch ‘n Go website for all top-up locations. Do also take note that not all 7-Eleven outlets in Malaysia offer top-ups for the Touch ‘n Go purse. Alternatively, you could also top the EZ-Link purse via the Express Top-up service on the EZ-Link app.
Unfortunately, you cannot top-up the EZ-Link purse in Malaysia and/or the Touch ‘n Go purse in Singapore due to regulatory restrictions.
