For almost 30 years, Suntec City has been one of our country’s largest and most popular shopping centres, boasting over 350 merchant partners including Cold Storage, Don Don Donki, Uniqlo, H&M and Harvey Norman.

Perhaps lesser known to some is that for the past decade, Suntec City has a loyalty programme, known today as Suntec+. Through Suntec+, members can earn points as they shop and dine at Suntec City, which can be redeemed for e-Vouchers, Carpark Dollars and other perks.

It therefore makes perfect sense that yuu, one of the most comprehensive rewards clubs in Singapore with over 1.9 million members, chose Suntec City Mall as its exclusive mall partner, making it even easier to earn yuu points.

What Is yuu?

yuu is a loyalty rewards club that earns you yuu points every time you spend at over 1,000 locations across Singapore, including Cold Storage, 7-Eleven, Guardian and BreadTalk. Each $1 spent typically earns 1 yuu point, and rewards are usually redeemed at a rate of 200 yuu points per $1 value.

With The Suntec+ App, You Have Even More Opportunities To Earn yuu Points

To earn yuu points at Suntec City, you just need to link the yuu App to the Suntec+ App. Then, all qualified transactions recorded on the Suntec+ App will automatically earn yuu points at a rate of 1 yuu point per $1 spent.

To qualify, you just have to spend at least $20 in a single receipt at one of the over 350 qualifying merchants in Suntec City Mall, and then upload a photo of the receipt via the Suntec+ App within 48 hours. There is no limit to the number of receipts you can upload, but you will not earn points beyond a total daily spend of $5,000.

You can already earn yuu points from over 1,000 locations across Singapore, but with over 350 merchant partners in Suntec City Mall to shop and dine at, you now have new opportunities to earn yuu points, especially from major brands that are not yuu partners yet.

What’s more, from now to 13 April, enjoy 20% extra yuu points on every approved receipt when you link your yuu account to Suntec+, so don’t miss out on this limited-time bonus.

How To Link The yuu Rewards Programme To Your Suntec+ App

1. You will need both yuu and Suntec+ apps on your device. If you only have one of them, no worries, both apps provide a link to download the other.

2. Start from the Suntec+ App, tap on “yuu Rewards”.

3. Tap “Link yuu ID”.

4. Tap the QR code to link.

5. You are now in the yuu App. Tap “Link Now”.

6. You should see the “Account linked successfully” screen.

How To Maximise Your Rewards With Both Apps

#1 It’s Easier Than Ever To Redeem Suntec City e-Vouchers

  • 1,000 yuu points for $5 Suntec City e-Voucher
  • 5,000 Suntec+ Points for $5 Suntec City e-Voucher

Before, as a Suntec+ Silver member, you had to spend a total of $5,000 to earn enough Suntec+ Points for a $5 Suntec City e-Voucher. Today if you link your yuu and Suntec+ accounts, that same expenditure will earn 5,000 yuu points and 5,000 Suntec+ Points, which can be redeemed for a total of $30 Suntec City e-Vouchers.

#2 Earn Carpark Dollars 6 Times As Fast

  • 400 yuu points for $2 Carpark Dollars
  • 2,000 Suntec+ Points for $2 Carpark Dollars

Carpark Dollars, which can be used to offset your parking at Suntec City, can be redeemed from the Suntec+ App at a rate of 2,000 Suntec+ Points to $2 Carpark Dollars. Today if you link the yuu and Suntec+ apps, spending a total of $2,000 will earn 2,000 yuu points and 2,000 Suntec+ Points, which can be redeemed for a total of $12 Carpark Dollars.

#3 Become A Gold Or Diamond Suntec+ Member

Everyone starts as a Silver Suntec+ Member, but if you spend over $5,000 at Suntec City in a year, you will be upgraded to Gold Membership, where you earn 5 Suntec+ Points for each $1 spent. Spend over $12,000 at Suntec City in a year and be upgraded to Diamond Membership, earning 10 Suntec+ Points for each $1 spent.

Regardless of Suntec+ membership tier, your rate of earning yuu points at Suntec City does not change.

Tier Silver Gold Diamond
Earning Suntec+ Points 1 point per $1 spent 5 points per $1 spent 10 points per $1 spent
Minimum Annual Spend to Qualify for Tier   $5,000  $12,000
Upgrade Bonus   +20,000  Suntec+ Points when upgraded to Gold +60,000  Suntec+ Points when upgraded to Diamond

Imagine if you are spending $1,000 on groceries at Cold Storage in Suntec City every month. In a year, you’d have spent enough to qualify as a Diamond Suntec+ Member and earning 10 Suntec+ Points for each $1 spent. That’s 10,000 Suntec+ Points (worth $10) in addition to the 1,000 yuu points (worth $5) you’ll be earning each month.

Use the points you’ve earned each month to redeem $15 worth of Suntec City e-Vouchers or to offset your parking with Carpark Dollars.

#4 Earn yuu Points From Merchants That Are Not yuu Partners

While there is a healthy diversity of yuu partners, there are currently limited options to earn yuu points when spending on electronics and technology. Suntec City has branded stores like Prism+, Aftershock, Anker and OPPO, as well as retailers like Harvey Norman and Challenger to cover all your electronics needs.

Just be aware that earned points are capped at $5,000 daily spend, so space out your purchases, if necessary.

Parents looking for activities to do with your little ones need not look further than SuperPark and the space-themed Kidodo Space in Suntec City. If they prefer some screentime, you can’t go wrong with Kidodo VR Galaxy or Cow Play Cow Moo.

With the ability to redeem 2 Carpark Dollars with every 400 yuu points, your family activity could even offset your parking at Suntec City, giving you even more reason to head out together.

For A Limited Time, Earn 20% Extra yuu Points With Suntec+

From now to 13 April, you can enjoy 20% extra yuu points on every approved receipt when you link your yuu account to Suntec+. That means you’ll earn 6 yuu points for every $5 spent at Suntec.

DBS yuu Card holders earn even more by spending at Cold Storage, Guardian and 7-11 in Suntec with the DBS yuu Card. Enjoy up to 45.6x yuu points when you get your groceries and personal items during this limited period. Drive down to Suntec City and offset your parking with the Carpark Dollars you’ll earn. Just spend $20 to earn up to 912 yuu points or 4 Carpark Dollars, more than enough for 1.5 hours parking ($3.90).

#5 Apply For The DBS yuu Card Or The PAssion POSB Debit Card

You can normally earn up to 36x yuu points when you shop at selected yuu partners with the DBS yuu Card. That’s equivalent to 18% in cash rebates. However, if you go to Cold Storage, Guardian or 7-11 at Suntec City, you can earn up to 38 yuu points for every $1 spent, as well as Suntec+ Points.

  Suntec+ Points yuu points
Upon Suntec+ receipt approval $1 = 1 Suntec+ Point (Silver)
$1 = 5 Suntec+ Points (Gold)
$1 = 10 Suntec+ Points (Diamond)
$1 = 1 yuu point
yuu points from yuu partner at the point of purchase   $1 = 1 yuu point
yuu points from using the DBS yuu Card or the PAssion POSB Debit Card   $1 = up to 36 yuu points (DBS yuu Card)
$1 = up to 18 yuu points (PAssion POSB Debit Card)
TOTAL $1 = up to 10 Suntec+ Points $1 = up to 38 yuu points

There’s something for everyone at Suntec City, especially now that you can earn yuu and Suntec+ Points at over 350 merchant partners. Don’t forget that from now to 13 April, you can earn 20% extra yuu points for every approved receipt when you link your yuu account to Suntec+.
