In the Singapore Budget 2025, PM Lawrence Wong announced a new tranche of CDC Vouchers worth $800. This will be split into two disbursements – with $500 in CDC Vouchers given in May 2025 and the remaining $300 CDC Vouchers given in January 2026.
For clarity, this is a new disbursement, separate from the recent $300 worth of CDC Vouchers we received in January 2025 – which was part of the Singapore Budget 2024 package.
The CDC Voucher scheme was first introduced in 2020 to help lower-income Singapore households defray their cost of living. It has become a preferred support measure in recent Singapore Budget announcements, controlling the usage of cash transfers for specific use-cases – with half of the disbursement for use in supermarkets and the other half for use with heartland merchants and hawkers.
CDC Vouchers come with expiration dates, usually at the end of the calendar year it was disbursed, and also come in denominations of $2, $5 and $10. No change will be given if we spend a lower amount than the voucher amount used.
How Many CDC Voucher Tranches Have Been Given?
As mentioned, the CDC Voucher scheme started in 2020 and was initially only given to lower-income households. Subsequent tranches have been given to all eligible Singaporean households.
– June 2020: $50 (only lower-income households)
– January 2021: $100
– May 2022: $100
– January 2023: $300
– January 2024: $500
– June 2024: $300
– January 2025: $300
– May 2025: $500 (New: As part of Singapore Budget 2025)
– July 2025: $600 or $800 (SG60 Vouchers that are not part of the CDC Voucher scheme, but to be redeemed and used in the same manner. Singaporeans above 21 years will get $600, while those above 60 will get $800)
– January 2026: $300 (New: As part of Singapore Budget 2025)

CDC Vouchers Scheme For May 2025 Tranche
While many households may still have CDC Vouchers from the recent January 2025 disbursement, we can already look forward to another $500 CDC Vouchers in May 2025. As usual, it will be allocated equally (i.e., $250 each) to be spent at participating supermarkets and participating heartland merchants and hawkers.
The CDC Vouchers can be used at participating supermarkets, including Ang Mo Supermarket, Cold Storage, Giant Singapore, NTUC FairPrice, Sheng Siong, Prime, Hao Mart and U Stars. These supermarkets will display the CDC Vouchers decal (shown below) to indicate acceptance of the use of these vouchers.

In addition, the current number of participating heartland merchants and hawkers has also doubled from 11,000 to 23,000 since the scheme was introduced for all Singaporean households in 2021. Just look out for the CDC Vouchers decal displayed at stall shopfronts to know whether the individual merchant or hawker accepts these vouchers.

Before you redeem the vouchers online, do note that only 1 member per household will need to visit the website and log in with their Singpass to claim the CDC vouchers on behalf of everyone. You can share the vouchers with the rest of your household members by sharing the link.

CDC recently added new map features to help household residents easily locate and support their neighbourhood stalls as well as stalls outside their neighbourhood.
If you’re wondering where the nearest participating hawkers and heartlands merchants are, you can enter the street name or postal code on the CDC page. For example, by entering Raffles Place in the search bar, the search results would show the number of participating merchants within 2km. The list will show the stall’s name, address, and unit number so you can easily navigate to the stall.

You can also click on the interactive map that shows the number of merchants according to the district. If you click into each bubble, it’ll break down even further, showing merchants on a smaller scale. Once you’ve zoomed in on the map, clicking the bubble will open up the lists of merchants that show the stall’s name, address, and unit number, so you can easily navigate to the stall.

How To Use the Vouchers?
Once you receive $500 worth of CDC Vouchers on behalf of your household, you can start spending them.
Again, you will notice that the vouchers are in fixed denominations of $2, $5, and $10 for CDC Vouchers and $10 denominations for CDC Supermarket vouchers. This is because it is less confusing for residents, especially the digitally less savvy, and it reduces the chance for errors to occur when residents key in the amount.
To use the CDC vouchers at a participating stall, just tap the amount you want to use and show the QR code to the stall vendor for them to scan it using their RedeemSG App.

If any of your household members do not carry a smartphone or have their Singpass, especially seniors, there will be the option for them to print hardcopy vouchers. But they must do so at the community centres or clubs where they will be assisted by staff members. As these printed vouchers act like cash coupons, misplaced or lost hardcopy vouchers can be used by anyone who picks them up. So, best to safe keep these vouchers and be careful with who you’re sharing your voucher links with.
