In the first BTO sales launch of the year in February 2025, HDB is offering about 5,032 BTO flats in 5 projects across Kallang/Whampoa, Queenstown, Woodlands and Yishun.
About 80% of the flats will have waiting times of 4 years or less. Of these, 1,531 BTO flats in Chencharu Vines and Chencharu Green in Yishun will have even shorter waiting times of just over 3 years, at 37 and 38 months respectively.
Those who are looking forward to apply for a flat at the February 2025 BTO sales launch will also have the option to select a home from the largest-ever Sales of Balance Flat (SBF) exercise – offering 5,590 previously unsold BTO flats across various towns and estates. 4 in 10 of these SBF flats are already completed.
While the BTO flats launched in February 2025 will be under the new flat classification framework, Standard, Plus or Prime, SBF flats that were launched before the October 2024 sales launch will still be under the old mature and non-mature classification.
On the back of tighter restrictions for non-selection of BTO flats, the number of applicants who did not book a flat has dropped from 40% to about 19% over the previous 3 completed BTO sales exercises. That’s why, from the February 2025 BTO sales launch, HDB will only shortlist up to 200% of the total flat supply instead of up to 300% previously.
This will allow HDB to serve shortlisted applicants faster and allow those who do not get a queue number to make housing arrangements earlier, including applying for the following BTO/SBF sales exercise.
#1 Kallang/Whampoa

While this is a new HDB development site, those moving into this estate will have neighbours from at least 2 other recent HDB projects (launched during the June 2024 BTO sales launch).
